The deadline to apply online to become a partner of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2020 is approaching. Visit the Partners section of the event website, read the EURegionsWeek 2020 guide for event partners and apply ( Partners, Regional Partnerships) As a reminder, this edition’s themes are: Green Europe Cohesion and Cooperation Empowering Citizens Don’t miss the opportunity to become a partner! Applications deadline is 27 March 2020.

Some regions and cities have expressed their interest in joining a Regional Partnership or finding partners to complete their Regional Partnership. Have a look at the list and get in touch with them. The call for applications to become an event partner ( Regional Partnerships, Partners) of the 18th European Week of Regions and Cities 2020 is open until 27 March. The fourth edition of #EUDatathon has been launched on 19 February. To take part to the competition, you should propose the development of an application that links and uses open datasets, of which at least one from the thousands made available by the EU institutions, agencies and bodies. Are you interested in becoming a member of a Regional Partnership at the #EURegionsWeek 2020 but you have not found your partner regions or cities yet? Or are you looking for a region or a city to complete your partnership? Regions and cities looking for partners, with whom they can set up a Regional Partnership, can use the partner search tool. The survey should be completed by 19 February at the latest. The list of entries will be published on the event website.

Following the many questions from Interreg projects at and following the 30 January partners´ meeting, we have opened applications for the 18th edition in 2020 (Interreg 30th Anniversary) to Interreg projects. Preparations for the 18th European Week of Regions and Cities have officially been launched with a Kick-Off meeting at which almost 100 potential event partners participated and many others followed online. The event will take place from 12 to 15 October 2020 in Brussels at The Square (Brussels Convention Centre) and the European Committee of the Regions. For the last three years, the EU’s Publications Office has organised an annual Datathon – a competition to develop apps that offer new services or insights using data produced by the European institutions.
