High-level session: Eastern Border Regions = EU’s Border, A Pact for the Eastern Border Regions

In this session, EVP Fitto will share his experience from his visits to the regions of Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland bordering Russia and Belarus and highlight evidence collected since he last launched the work on a “Pact for the eastern border regions” last June. He will also put forward first ideas for a concerted approach to support the EU’s eastern border regions most affected by the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. Furthermore, the floor will be given to high-level politicians from these regions.
